Cacao is a beautiful heart-opening medicine and a powerful ally for these wild times. This potent plant medicine has been used for thousands of years for medicinal, spiritual and ceremonial purposes.
Its Latin name is Theobroma Cacao, meaning "food of the gods." The word cacao also translates to "heart blood,” indicating its affinity for the heart.
On a physical level, theobromine the active ingredient in cacao, dilates the blood vessels and creates stimulation and a sense of euphoria in the body.
On a spiritual level it brings us back to a feeling of love, connection and oneness and reconnects us with the deep call of our wild heart.
We will also be working with the medicine of hapè. Hapè is a shamanic snuff made from different sacred and medicinal jungle plants. It creates a sense of grounding, clarity and presence in the body and is often used before deep medicine work to purify the system and facilitate a calm and relaxed state of being.
For Cancer season, we will be working with an intentional theme of aligning our hearts to our most sacred acts of creation.
Through ceremony and ritual we will connect with ourselves, each other, and this beautiful plant medicine, activating and opening our heart space and sending prayers into our community.
