Herbal Smoking As Sacred Prayer: Workshop, Ceremony & Soundbath

The practice of smoking herbs is an ancient way of communing with nature, the elements and plant spirits.

Smoke acts as a messenger between heaven and earth and the energy released through burning plants helps to open up this channel of communication.

Many indigenous people use these practices in ceremony for cleansing, sending prayers, and deepening connection to the tribe.

Many herbs are safe and even beneficial when smoked, and by working with plants in this way, we are participating in a ritual of communion with nature and the plant kingdom.

Through this practice we will learn how to work with the energies of plants to merge our intentions and prayers with their unique wisdom.

In this workshop, we will learn about different herbs and their effects when smoked. We will craft our own herbal smoking blends based on the energies we want to work with.

We will then enter a ceremony space in which we invoke the spirits of the plants and learn how to tune into their messages through a smoking practice.

From there, we will drop into a guided meditation, breathwork practice and soundbath.

Each attendee will go home with an herbal smoking blend that they can use to continue their practice.
